UPDATED: Creating More Cards...

Hi!

UPDATE:  Since my BFF Mary received her card today, it is joining this Blog Post! ☺️  She loves animal print, and since she gifted me with some card making essentials, I used them...on her card! 😁 LOL!

I have somehow mustered up energy to create some cards! 😄  One I can't post until she gets it! 😉  These little simple ones I'll post right here!  I have some silly videos of my husband, who keeps me entertained!  I don't know if I can't post those, but I'll try! ☺️  Nonetheless, the group one are ones I made for a friend in Minnesota.  She couldn't find cards for her sisters, and a couple of other people, so I made her some specialized cards.  She loved them, so I guess I will too! The moon is for my "little" brother Javier.  I always forget his birthday because it is so close to Christmas!

I hope you all are having a great start to your holidays!  I am working slowly, but surely!  LOL!

A New Side Kick & Some Card Making...& Cookies!

So today I was able to get the LAST Side Kick at JoAnne's in Denton, TX, for $39.99!  I called all the stores close to me, and they were all out! The Denton store said they had one, but they were holding it for a customer.  I called them back and asked to be put on a list should the customer not pick it up.  I said a few prayers and within five minutes I get a call! The Side Kick never had a name on it, and if I wanted it, it was mine!  Thank you Lord! 😊

I even sent them cookies for holding it for me!  LOL!   It was the least I could do!  Nonetheless, I was able to use it today, as I finished making cards.  I am a happy crafter!

Happy Thursday All!

Today I plan to make more cards and be creative in some fashion, as the TV is a huge distraction!  LOL!

I made one card yesterday, very simple.  I need to make a few cards for a friend, and hopefully send them out by Saturday.

I have also been busy baking, as I love to bake! ☺️  My husband's employees love me!  LOL!

I hope you are all crafting away!  Have a great time doing everything!

THIS JUST BLOWS!!! :'( Kharmyn - 0, Sidewalk - 1

Plans, plans and planning!  These were all planned to go awry! I had plans to finish some cards and send out some RAK packs to people, (as I received some wonderful cut outs from a friend in NV - see pic)...I had plans to vacuum and dust the entire house...I had plans to delight my husband with wonderful near gourmet meals, and BOOM!  It rains in Dallas and I slip and fall, fracturing my patella (knee cap)!  WTH!?!?!  Oh Lord what next?  Did He need to slow me down to spend more time with Him?  Probably, because that is what I have been doing!  :) These next couple of weeks will seem long, but a leg brace for two weeks is better than surgery and six weeks of recovery! (See what I just did there?  I bought the blessing! ☺️  Besides, my hubby is waiting on me, hand and knee!  LOL! )

God has shown me the silver lining, the blessing in all of this, as you will...He said to me that my fracture is linear, which does not require surgery, just some time in a leg brace.  Well thank you Lord, I see it!  Count your blessings no matter how small!  Seek out that silver lining!  It is not you talking yourself into accepting it, it is God telling you to trust Him!  He's got this!

So, as you see, no plans are perfect, except His, and if He has to derail you to get you to slow down, then so be it!

Not Just Crafting...

So, besides crafting while not working, I have been cooking and baking!  My new stove must be of a better quality, as I was able to make tortillas! 😁

Of course, the best part of it is the first one, hot off the comal (cast iron griddle)! 👍🏽,

Settling in to Dallas life!

Good Saturday to you all! 

 I recently relocated to Dallas, TX via Nevada, via Arizona, where my bestie is located, Ms. Mary Joyce "MJ," who I miss very much!  She was my muse, but now we are sharing via text or e-mails! :)

I just recently tried to put my craft room together.  I really need to make more cards with all the time on my hands!   We relocated due to my husband's job, but I am not working outside the home, but working to get our home together.  It is a tough job, and if I did not have my BFF MJ by my side, a lot of the work would not have been accomplished.  You see, MJ helped me pack and move from Arizona to Nevada, and as fate would have it, she planned a visit to Nevada, and we got hit with a transfer for my hubby.  Needless to say, her vacation with me turned into a "helping me pack" visit!  Of course she did it all without a complaint!  Who else has a BFF like that?!  So thank you my friend, you are near and dear to me even when we are apart!

Hello All!

Thank you for joining me on this journey!  Since the site, Scraps of Color nka Embrace Your Art is shutting down, some of the followers decided to share blogs so that we can stay in touch!  Thank for this excellent idea Shirley http://craftyngardens.blogspot.com/ as now we can follow each other and keep in touch!

I hope to share my crafty goodness on this blog, and hopefully I will keep it up once we are all settled in our new home in Lewisville, TX!
